Dr. Teri Fisher: “I think as internet gets faster, as more of the smart devices gets adopted we will start to see the healthcare system getting decentralized. All persons home will be able to act like a medical clinic.”

Dr. Teri Fisher: “The way that I think about it is around five reasons, and I use the word VOICE. First, voice is very voicetaile meaning you can do multiple things at the same time when you are speaking.”

Dr. Teri Fisher: “We can break it down into four different categories. Informational type of voice experience where a patient can talk to a smart speaker and it gives them back information. There are some that are more like a guide to your care.”

Dr. Teri Fisher: “There is this whole area now called Sonic Branding. What that means for brands and healthcare environments is very important. Everybody has to start to think “What does your brand sound like. For example when you walk into a hospital many times you can hear alarms going off all the time.”

Dr. Teri Fisher: “My experience with the Canadian healthcare system is different from people from other countries. Because we have a public healthcare system there is a lot of pressure on the system, for example that the healthcare workers are extremely overworked.”

Dr. Teri Fisher: “The way that I think about it is around five reasons, and I use the word VOICE. First, voice is very voicetaile meaning you can do multiple things at the same time when you are speaking.”

Dr. Teri Fisher: “Voice First is an overall theme of the way we are going to see the interface with computers. It was first named by Brian Roemmele.”

Dr. Teri Fisher: “As a kid I got this new technology and it was my first personal computer, a Tandy Computer Radio Shack.”

Dr. Teri Fisher: “I have always loved technology ever since I was a kid. My favorite things to play with where things I could build like radio control airplanes, cars and all the stuff that involved technology.”
